I’m glad to introduce you to the upcoming Sansa Stark Appreciation Week! A week for all of her fans to join and honor our dear wolf lady from 25 to 31 August. How? By making a creation each day during a week, all dedicated to Sansa Stark. Any kind of creation is welcomed here: gifs, graphics, fanart, fanmixes and fanfics/drabbles.
These are the prompts for each day, and also the schedule for the week:
Day 1: Favorite quote(s)
Day 2: Favorite trait(s)
Day 3: Favorite season/book
Day 4: Favorite relationship
Day 5: One scene
Day 6: Sansa + color
Day 7: Anything you like!
Remember to tag your work as “sansa appreciation week” within the first five tags, so I can find them and reblog them. Any work in this tag will be published (unless it goes against some of the rules of the blog.)
Here you have some extra information on the week. If you have any doubt, just ask me :)
The worst part about liking classical music is when you forget the name of a piece and you can’t google the lyrics because there are none
❝ See, Rowling largely operates Harry’s generation in a clear system of parallels to the previous generation, Marauders and all. Harry is his father—Quidditch star, a little pig-headed sometimes, an excellent leader. Ron is Sirius Black—snarky and fun, loyal to a fault, mired in self-doubts. Hermione is Remus Lupin—book smart and meticulous, always level-headed, unfailingly perceptive. Ginny is Lily Evans—a firecracker, clever and kind, unwilling to take excuses. Draco Malfoy is Severus Snape—a natural foil to Harry, pretentious, possessed of the frailest ego and also deeper sense of right and wrong when it counts. And guess what? Neville Longbottom is Peter Pettigrew.
Neville is a perfect example of how one single ingredient in the recipe can either ruin your casserole (or stew, or treacle tart, whatever you like), or utterly perfect your whole dish. Neville is the tide-turner, the shiny hinge. And all because he happens to be in the same position as Wormtail… but makes all the hard choices that Pettigrew refused the first time around. Other characters are in similar positions, but none of them go so far as Neville. None of them prove that the shaping of destiny is all on the individual the way he does. ❞

This is brilliant! I actually hadn’t thought about it like that before. But maybe Luna is Severus. They both share a weirdness (though of a different kind), they are unpopular, they come from broken families and they are both dreamers (again in a different way) with the difference in the situations being that Harry accepted Luna while James ridiculed Severus.
I read this as a kid and it had a really significant effect on me and and it’s a big influence on my world view and I still think it’s the most beautiful and profound thing anyone’s ever said about beauty
